Artists set up easels throughout the city, transforming sidewalks and storefronts into outdoor studios. Historic buildings, cozy alleyways, and the energy of downtown provided endless inspiration.
Special Session at Wise Acres Farm
One of the highlights of the series was a day spent painting at Wise Acres Farm, surrounded by blooming fields, quiet nature paths, and the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.

Whether beginners or experienced plein air painters, participants enjoyed a relaxed and supportive environment where everyone could create freely.
Community-Led and Artist-Focused
Led by the Union County Plein Air Painters and supported by Presson Gallery, the series offered a meaningful way for artists to gather, learn from one another, and celebrate the beauty of our local landscapes.
Throughout the series, artists came together to capture the charm of Union County, painting on location in Downtown Monroe and beyond. With no entry fee, this free event encouraged artists of all skill levels to participate, fostering creativity, connection, and community.

Free Public Parking: A large lot is available at the corner of S Hayne St and E Windsor St, just across from the gallery. It’s a short and easy walk away.
Accessibility: ADA-compliant parking spaces are located directly in front of the gallery entrance on Main Street for easy access.
